This policy explains how Banfana Media ("Banfana", "we") handles data in connection with the Banfana Attribution service and the Banfana Pixel Helper Chrome extension.

Banfana Pixel Helper (Chrome extension)

The Pixel Helper is a diagnostic tool for our team. It observes, read-only, network requests that a site sends to the Banfana measurement collector and displays those events so we can confirm the pixel is firing correctly. It does not block or modify any request, and it only inspects calls to the Banfana collector — nothing else on any page.

It does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. The short list of recent events it shows is kept locally in your browser only (session storage) and is never sent anywhere. The extension contains no remote code.

Banfana Attribution (the service)

On behalf of our clients, the service measures website activity to produce marketing attribution and reporting. It is designed to be privacy-preserving: the measurement pixel collects pseudonymous, behavioral signals (such as page views, product views, and purchases) plus marketing parameters — and is designed not to collect direct identifiers like names, email addresses, or payment details.

Collection is consent-gated: where a visitor has not granted analytics consent, the pixel operates in a cookieless mode and does not set or transmit visitor or session identifiers. We process this data only to provide attribution and reporting to the relevant client. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use one client's data to profile across other clients.

Service providers

We rely on reputable third-party cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting, data warehousing, security, and scheduled processing) to operate the service. Each processes data only to provide its service to us, under appropriate data-protection terms. A current list of our subprocessors is available to clients on request.

Retention & security

Client event data is retained only as long as needed to provide reporting, then deleted or aggregated. We apply technical and organizational safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest, encryption of secrets, signed server-to-server data feeds, access controls, and rate limiting.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict your personal data, or to opt out of its sale (we do not sell it). For data we process on a client's behalf, please contact that client; we will assist them. For anything else, contact [email protected].

Proprietary rights & confidentiality

The Banfana Attribution application — including its interface, visual design, report formats, methodologies, and underlying code — is the proprietary and confidential property of Banfana. Access is granted under our Terms of Use, which permit access only and prohibit copying, cloning, reverse-engineering, scraping, or creating derivative or substantially similar works. Any proprietary information provided through the Service is shared in confidence, and unauthorized copying or disclosure may be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by law.
